The border was ALLOWED to burst out of control. With not enough staff the National guard or the Army should have been utilized to assist. This was an extremely serious problem. All the people coming through the border were not being vetted for their past backgrounds. We could be allowing criminals or terrorist to just walk onto US soil. The danger that this opened us up to is horrendous and should never should have happened. The American people were led to believe this was being taken care of, it wasn’t. I have no problem with someone coming to the USA for asylum with good character and good intentions. This is how many of our families came here and that’s the way it should continue to occur. Put up tent cities to house those that need housing. Keep families together, set up a medical tent, have showering facilities that lock so mothers can wash their children without fear for their children. Cost? Yes , there will be a cost, but think of all the criminal activity that has been going on and we could have paid for these things and more with money from what had been stolen. Let’s not repeat history. We know our past mistakes. Get the criminals out of the country, their own people are being victimized by them as well as us. And PS This bail less system is not working with these gang members, there should be an exempt clause in it so it does not apply to them.
